I play difficult games with a piano. On my piano-controller streams, the keys trigger actions in the game—turning boss fights into a very different kind of performance.
I’m Maveroth. Alongside the challenges, I play live piano and trumpet and hang out with the Guild, our streaming community.
See the piano controller in action
Start with Rune Level 1 Maliketh on a Piano, a short example from Elden Ring. Rune Level 1 means taking on the challenge without leveling up the character.
How can a piano control a game?
A MIDI keyboard sends information when its keys are pressed and released. Those messages can be mapped to computer inputs, allowing the keyboard to control actions in a game. The musical keyboard becomes the control surface for the challenge.
If you’re new to the stream, watch the relationship between the keys and the character’s movements. That is the premise behind the piano-controller runs.
Is it only Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is one part of the piano-controller catalog. You’ll also find streams featuring games such as Sekiro, Lies of P, and Cuphead on the YouTube channel.
The stream also includes live musicianship and variety. Come for a boss fight, a musical moment, or the people who make the Guild what it is.
Where can I watch or join in?
